For those considering smile rehabilitation but suspect a more extensive need beyond minor adjustments to the front teeth, we also offer full mouth reconstruction. While the term may sound overwhelming, it simply refers to the process of restoring both the back (posterior) and front (anterior) teeth to regain proper function and aesthetics.
Full mouth reconstruction is necessary when trauma, wear, decay, or tooth loss has led to a loss of space and structure. Since the back teeth play a crucial role in supporting the front teeth, we first focus on rebuilding the foundation in the posterior before addressing the smile itself.
If teeth are missing, we use implants to replace them. If teeth are worn down, we go through a reconditioning phase to help your jaw adjust to a more natural position. This is done using a specialized mouthguard, worn overnight at a minimum, to prevent a sudden and harsh transition. This phase typically lasts about three months.
Once the bite has been re-established, we use crowns and bridgework to rebuild the contact points of the back teeth. As these restorations restore proper spacing, they naturally create the room needed to reconstruct the front teeth, completing the smile transformation. If the front teeth are missing, implants will be used. If they are simply worn, we follow a ceramic-based restorative approach to reinforce and rebuild them.
Each case is unique, and treatment plans vary depending on the level of restoration required, but the goal remains the same: restoring full function, comfort, and a natural-looking smile.
